When my teacher recommended I buy this book, I found not too many people know about it. It was hard to find. That's too bad, this is really a great book.This book is basically a collection of piano voicings for many different types of chords, in all keys. There's not too much explanation, just the guidelines so we can use the exercises properly and learn how to voice open chords. This is not a Chord Dictionary, it's about how to voice chords. You must know how to read music to benefit from this.If you are a beginner at jazz piano, this is a great tool to learn open chords.

I've been playing at piano for years by my self. This book was recommended to me when I finally went for a jazz improv lesson. I have been working with it for a few weeks and LOVE what it's been doing for my playing. Be ready to put in some work but these voicing are the real deal.

Best book out there to learn Jazz Chords & Voicings.I have tried other of the popular ones, and none of them get me to work like this one.I've just got to 30% of the book and I'm already playing some standards.Great for study by yourself OR with a teacher.

This is an excellent book by a wonderful teacher. I had the pleasure of attending a workshop of his once. I now use this book for teaching purposes.

I am getting my masters in jazz piano and this has been an essential book in my studies. It was also sent with a free Aebersold booklet with some great info

Try to "SEE INSIDE!" before deciding to buy. There's very little instruction or tips, but it's very sound on the material covered. It's 'stay open' binding is a plus. Very good visual aid for the beginner introducing voicings to their practice regimen.

Je Seite sind 2 Jazzakkordfolgen für Klavier aufgelistet mit jeweils ungefähr 12 verschiedenen Akkorden.Die Noten der Akkorde werden auf beide Hände verteilt und sind in Notenschrift dargestellt. Die Akkordfolge-Typen sind 21 Kategorien zugeordnet.Der Oberbegriff lautet dann zum Beispiel: II-V-I in Dur und Moll, oder Mehrstimmige Blues-Folgen etc....Innerhalb einer Kategorie wird dann weiter unterschieden, zum Beispiel die Dominant 7 - Folgen in 8 Varianten danach, wie die Akkorde geschichtet sind. Das reicht dann von Dominant 13 bis Dominant 13b5b9.Insgesamt ein Erfahrungsschatz, den man sich mal anhören sollte.Voraussetzungen: Eigentlich muss man dazu nur Noten lesen können und ein Keyboard besitzen.

good book for systematic study... I only wished the author also added clear fingering (like Phil DeGreg did in his book). Otherwise this book would have been perfect to me.
