Almost perfect
Exceeded my expectations in terms of features and benefits. Compass and thermometers are a great bonus. I would have liked the video cable to be longer. I installed in. Honda CR-V and it was barely long enough. The camera pigtail would be great if it had one of those mini round disconnects like the mirror. Would have made it easier to snake into the car. I just installed it so will have to wait and see on long term reliability.

Very Impressive
I was honestly a bit skeptical and was very hesitant on pulling the trigger. After reading some reviews, I opted to take a chance and see how it goes. To my surprise, the installation was a breeze. What impressed me the most was the compatibility of the rear view mirror. It snapped right in, replacing my factory Ford C-Max mirror and it gave it a real OEM factory look. People I showed did not believe their eyes how OEM it looked. The image of the camera is more clear than my Toyota Highlander and I actually feel more confident looking at the image in my rear view mirror than I do at a display screen in the center of a dash. I recommend this to anyone who is hesitant and I guarantee that you won't be disappointed.

Don't Get What You Pay For.
I bought this mirror as it said it was the upgraded version Not so. The image they show show a menu,No menu, has a compass, compass does not work correctly, I have been in contact with PYLE and told them the when I am heading north it is reading southwest and does not change, they told me..For the compass calibrate: just press the power button for about 3-5 seconds(long press), then will display the compass digits, adjust the 2 digits to the same.No instruction how to change digits, finally figured out and only one digit would, still no good.I could have save $50 with the first one I was looking at that would have done just as well. The camera and image are fine but that is all.Very disappointed with purchase.Would not recommend

Nice backup camera system
I bought this to put on my teenagers car, since we bought one without it. She absolutely LOVES it!! It was very easy to install. Along with the instructions in the box, there is also a manual online. She loves that at night it's lit up so she can clearly see. She also likes that it has the lines when you backup, which is great when you're backing into a parking space. I'm extremely happy that we bought this. It gives me more peace of mind when she's out driving.

Another great product from Pyle!
The kit included all the necessary items for installation so far on my F150. I only needed zip ties, wire nuts and electric tape which is typical for any wiring job. So far I have the camera installed and video wire ran to the dash, ready to connect to the rear view mirror/video monitor. The camera installation was a snap, just spliced into the wires for the reverse light as the manual instructed. I like the additional feature of the two separate temperature sensors for inside and outside! I can’t wait to complete the install when my wife gets back with the truck!

Great product!
I got this for my jeep wrangler. I have two small kids and the jeep had too many blind spots for my comfort. I had it installed. The mirror looks great and doesn't look like an after market item. The camera went on the license plate, which is on the left hand side. The camera quality is great! I was very impressed, especially since it is an after market product. I can see clearly items behind me, and the night vision on it is pretty impressive.

This looked like a bait and switch in my personal experience
The mirror itself is good quality. The wires on the other hand are not, specially the rca video cable is really cheap and mine was defective... so I bought a higher quality rca to change it. This sucked because now I have to rewire my truck again. The cable that came with it is also on the short side if you are going to put it in a truck, I have an extended cab and barely made it with about 12 inches inside the cab. If you have a double cab with 8 ft bed save your self a headache and just order a 30 ft high quality rca cable at the same time.Although it is easy to install for me since I am a mechanic, others could struggle with it because there is no clear instructions to install it. Also the picture does not correspond with the actual product, there is no speaker on the back nor will record anything, it is basically the older model with new numbers

Good quality product. Great camera. Mirror sites a bit low on the screen.
Excellent product, and better than the strap-onto-mirror type that I tried first. One happy daughter!Good display, and the light-up facility on the camera is better than expected. It isn't too hard to fit - depends on your car really. We fitted it successfully to a Hyundai Accent 2013.Two things to consider if you buy this:1. Number plate - in Ontario this thing may cover the tax sticker in the top right of your number plate, unless you find a way to mount it differently. Some brackets to extend it above the number plate would be an awesome accessory for this car anyway, but I had to make them bespoke.2. Mirror - The mirror we took out had two ball joints and thus could sit quite high on the glass. The new mirror only has one ball joint, so on some vehicles it will be lower on the glass. If you are of short height or in a fairly tall vehicle this may not be a concern, but a tall person in a smaller vehicle may notice this.A comment about the instructions... they're a little sparse. Two things I would have added are:1. Fuse rating. The inline fuse is a 250V one (odd). We used a "fuse tap" and so added a 5amp fuse at the point of connection, and that fuse is higher rated than it needs (it really doesn't draw much at all).2. How to adjust the camera height (two screws to loosen)On the Hyundai Accent (hatchback) we brought the camera wires through the side of the number plate lights, fed the wires up the inside of the bumper and through the rubber bung into the back of the car. Then through the trim to the front (for this car you have to remove the seat in order to get the trim out). The camera wire had plenty of length, and actually the outside temperature cable was just long enough to run along with the camera wire to the back of the car too. If you have a longer car, the temperature cable won't make it to the back so you'll want to bring it through the bulkhead to the front probably.

RCA cable quality insufficient
I recently installed a PYLE PLCM4560 hardwire rear view mirror camera in my Honda Odyssey to replace my previous dealer installed PYLE4537WIR wireless system which failed after just 6 months. The installation was fairly simple to understand but it does take considerable time to locate, solder and hide all the wiring, as expected. The instructions could be more detailed regarding location suggestions for temperature and compass wires. The quality of the monitor camera and camera mounting bracket is top notch overall. The RCA video wire quality is insufficient. The monitor fits the factory mount perfectly and locks in place with the supplied hex key. The monitor and camera worked in testing with the camera working well in low light conditions. Since my previous camera was still functioning, I chose to use it to save me install time. Once installed the system worked find up to 15 minutes of drive time. At 15 minutes considerable interference developed and made for very distracted backing up and the image disappeared completely if the process took too long or if shifting into drive and back to reverse. This happened with no accessories on. Both cameras performed the same in that regard. After 10 minutes of vehicle shutdown the whole system would reboot.I solved the problem with a borrowed high end shielded RCA video cable from a tech friend which allowed for a better image quality and up to 45 minutes of drive time with very minimal interference. I can't answer to any longer drive time than that. Time will tell on the overall durability of the product. The RCA cable is a big issue. It will take even more time to hide a heavier high end wire. In the end, I got what I paid for, a good-looking system that does work albeit with one big caveat. Irregardless of hardware appearance, this is a back up camera and has to work as such. With the proper RCA cable, this would be a 5-star rating.
