The date on the device is 01/2019, so it has been sitting on the shelf for 8 months.Very poorly written instructions, written in tiny little letters.No pairing instructions for zWave gateways, played around with it for about 20 minutes.Overall, another mass produces junk without much thought process behind it.Back to Amazon it goes.

Those detectors are hard to get in Europe. They for sure are great spec-wise. Unfortunately the Z wave frequency for Europe (cept) is different than for US. So it won't bind (and US band also isn't compliant with EU frequency regulations).One day I'll sure find ones which do work with EU range :-)

If your bathroom is in the same hallway and steam is coming out best to open a window or you & your pet will get a rude awakening when it goes off

One of our smoke alarms was at end-of-life so I ordered these two to ensure we would have proper fire/smoke prevention installed in our home. Of this two-pack, one works fine and the other does not work at all. I tried two different batteries and attempted to test it several times. Completely non-working. Very frustrating, especially since this impacts the safety of our home.

Feel very safe and sound

Would not send signals to my z-wave alarm controller.

So far so good. Haven’t used besides the weekly testing.
