I have these mugs in sizes from espresso to 15 oz. They are attractive. Keep the beverage hot and is cool to the touch thanks to the double wall.

I've been using these for a month or so now. They are lovely and keep my coffee warm longer than what I had been using. I really enjoy them, and I LOVE watching fluids swirl and flow when I add milk/creamer/whatever.They hold up just fine to both the microwave and the dishwasher (although I'm being gentle with them).The ONLY caveat to them is that I know they are more fragile than most things I have in my kitchen, and so I always keep them in mind and try to treat them as gently as I can. I also expect that they won't last 20+ years. I have a 4 year old and 4 cats, so... at some point it's going to get knocked off a counter and shatter. But until then, I'll be quite happy to use them. And if they last 3-5 years I'll consider it money very well spent.

They are very functional and stay comfortable to the touch. They look great. Nice to see what I’m drinking when using for hot tea. I do not like that they manufactured in China.

These mugs are well-constructed in many ways, and look nice. But they fail miserably where they should shine - they really don't keep a beverage warm much longer than a regular mug. I don't know if all of these mugs suffer from this problem, but for the size I purchased (15oz) they definitely were not really well thought out in terms of retaining heat. The reason is real simple. The biggest source of heat loss for a hot beverage is where it is exposed to air because that's where evaporation occurs and evaporation is a very strong cooling mechanism. This mug has a huge opening at the top. Huge. It's enormous. For example, I have a mug at home that has a similar capacity, but it keeps coffee hot just as long as these do. The reason is that the Bodum has an opening at the top that has 50% more area than my regular mug. So, all that thermal benefit with the double-glass walls is THROWN AWAY because of evaporative cooling at that enormous opening at the top of the mug! Maybe if Bodum goes back to the drawing board and figures out how to reduce the opening at the top, then it won't be so bad. Or, sell these things with some sort of lid to hold heat in there. An enormous lid, but a lid nonetheless.

UPDATE: Still like them (no change in rating). * Good (not Great)thermal performance. Best if you preheat or chill the glass. Tervis mugs do better but these are OK. * Broke 2 by setting down on granite counter top (and i don't think it was a 'hard' setting down). This was after a lot of use and confirms you must be careful with them. * plastic (silicon) plug in bottom held up, and never saw any moisture or fogging between the glass walls. * Overall I think they are nice and perform well, just wish the glass was thicker.ORIGNAL REVIEW:Previously I purchased the Tervis 16 & 24 tumblers and the 15oz mug I am very pleased with the Tervis products (see my reviews), but they coffee stained easily and I have yet to figure out how to remove them. SO I got these glass mugs. I haven't had them long and plan on updating this review down the road.FIRST Impressions:* Nice feel (heft) and comfortable.* As they are glass they should not stain.* Instructions clearly state to be careful with ice as the bottom may break and NOT to use an ice dispenser. I wish they had made it stronger (thicker) so this problem would be minimized.* With very cold liquids the outside does sweat, but not much (I can live with it).* It does much better than a regular glass or ceramic mug thermally, but not as good as the Tervis products* The bottom has a silicon air plug to "allow expansion" of the air between the double walls. Again it the walls were stronger I do not think this would be necessary. I am concerned as to how long this plug will hold up and fogging between the walls may happen because of it.

Got these for a christmas gift for my coffee-holic spouse who had been eyeing the bodum double walled glasses without the handles for a few years. I was reluctant to get the handle-less ones, because they are so expensive, I was worried they would be easier to slip out of soapy hands when washing. I got these because they basically are the size of a generous coffee/tea mug with the standard sized handle. They do have a tiny hole in the bottom with a silicone plug that is meant to stay in there all the time.The labelling says dishwasher safe, but these are such nice mugs, I'd rather not take the chance that they would clink against other things and break.They are light, but not insubstantial. They insulate very well (have to be careful, easy to burn the lips when you can't feel the temp from the sides of the mug).They really are fabulous, and my husband uses only these mugs now (And we have plenty of different ceramic mugs to choose from). Would buy again.

These arrived without any damage which I was worried about after reading some of the other reviews. We used them for about 3 months before they just decided to completely break. The inside of the cup just lifted and separated from the outside part of the glass. We were very careful with them and the glass just sort of cracked right where the inside met the outside. Sad that they only lasted 3 months.

Received the products in perfect condition, no damage what-so-ever. Coolest mug in the office award; the floating tea effect looks cool. I enjoy the initial pouring and reheating liquids in the microwave without heating the cup and burning my hand. (Personal note - cream looks kind of unappealing when it sticks to the clear glass in tea and coffee) - green tea etc (no milk) - beautiful. Following the directions of plastic spoon and no ice crashing into the cup, I expect to enjoy for the forseeable future.

You probably won't find this particular brand cheaper anywhere else. Have purchased the smaller version of this before, though I should warn they can be delicate, I love the double wall feature to keep hot drinks hot longer and will not burn your hands.
