Meddling kids and their dog..
The gang in the Mystery Machine go on a trip to Giant's Ridge, for a week-end winter vacation. When they get there they discover a mysterious ice giant terrorizing the town. Someone is kidnapped and Scooby and his friends rush to the rescue.I bought the three ebooks in this set to have in my Kindle library for someone under twelve to read. And since I have them I decided to read them first myself. Back in the day when Scooby-Doo first came on television it was one of my favorite Saturday morning cartoons. Mainly I think because it was a mystery series. So I figure I would check these stories out to see if they were as good as the television episodes. I have to say this second mystery is pretty good. I could easy imagine it as a script for one of the TV shows. The pacing was fast, and the action matched that of pretty much every Scooby-Doo episode I've ever seen. I'd recommend this book to a young person interested in a good mystery. The ebook is 54 pages long - with real page numbers. There are ten chapters. At the beginning of each chapter there is an illustration, and a few more scattered through-out the book. I read the book on my Kindle Keyboard so the images looked B/W to me. I later check them on my HP TouchPad and they are indeed B/W images, the cover art work is color. As a bonus, at the back of the book you get a preview chapter of the next book in the series - "Scooby-Doo! Mystery #3: The Haunting of Pirate Cove".Plus, you get a ZoinksPoints code number, redeemable at the ZoinksPoints website.Scooby-Doo! Mystery #2: The Frozen Giant - Scholasticby Kate Howard, Illustrated by Duendes del SurFirst printing Feb 2012

Creepy snow creature fun
Awesome and a bit creepy (not as creepy as the Scooby Doo Mystery #1 though). Every 6 year old in the universe should read this. When the ice monster trapped Velma and that lady it was really creepy and I had to run and find an adult to make sure I was safe. I love Scooby-Doo. Sincerely, Calissa

Great first "chapter" book for five year old at bedtime
I purchased several of these and they are popular go-to books for bedtime. I'm trying to get him into chapters and try to limit them to two chapters a night. He doesn't mind repeats and we can talk about the word sounds as we go through multiple times. I'll buy more when he's reading himself.

Thinnest poor paper quality book I've ever seen!
extremely low quality paper - pages crinkle as you turn - nothing like the similar book purchased from the book store - really shocked. A child would have to treat it really carefully not to rip.The Story is fine.
