The BTER CNC Automatic Tool Sensor Gauge is a high-accuracy Z axis probe designed for CNC routers and engraving machines. Featuring 0.001mm repeat positioning accuracy, a durable cemented carbide build, and a dustproof, waterproof design, it ensures reliable tool length setting, wear detection, and breakage monitoring. Its magnetic base and normally closed output make it compatible with most CNC equipment, powered efficiently at 24V DC.

Works great with millennium milo v1.5
Got it hooked up to my CNC and I'm seeing <0.05mm repeatability, I can't measure anything less than .05 because I don't even have motor resolution that fine.Running it at 5V instead of 24V with no performance issues. Brown is wired into a +5V source and orange is wired into a signal pin for an end stop on my CNC control board. The air blade is awesome. Whole part looks slick - would buy again.

Great value for the cost. Bought a second one.
Surprisingly well designed and repeatable. Great deal for the price. I only use the first limit switch (brown and orange wire) for setting the workpiece height on my CNC router. I found the height to be exactly 2.5" to the closing of the first Normally Closed limit switch. I wish the wires were longer, but I appreciate the heavier duty shield coming off the base. I haven't tried the air blower, in fact, I just took mine off. I bought a second one to use for tool height measurement for my automatic tool changer.

Works
Works great on the Tormach for tool setting. Run the macro and it just works. Hard wired mine so the plug can be used for the probe

A pleasant surprise!
The media could not be loaded. Surprisingly well made. Instructions are completely in Chinese, but you don't really need to read them.Brown / Yellow is the switch for setting tool length.Green / Blue is the over travel (which just closes the switch when the setter is pressed more deeply).Five second set up on a Tormach 1100M. It's the two inner pins (excluding the center pin) on the aux port for tool length. From what I've read online, if you want over travel functionality, you have to wire them into your e-stop (and not the DIN 5 pins). On a Tormach, the command you want is G37 and G37.1. Tormach doesn't have much info (as in, the command's own page) on how to use G37 on their site, but it's all buried in the actual owner's manual PDF for your machine, which IS on their site.G37 Pnumber is available for tool breakage detection. So, G37 P0.1 would check for a hundred thou difference between the already-set tool length and the results that command generates). So, if the tool is broken, it will trip the ETS at a shorter height and error out.So if T06 is set at 3.0000 inches, but it breaks during use, it may trip at 2.7500. If the P value was commanded, the machine would error out.

Well made, has an air jet to keep the touch plate clean.
Very well made and solid feeling. Should hold up well to accidental hits when loading/unloading material.FYI: That rod on the side has an air jet which blows debris off the touch plate.

kinda just ehhh missing leads
doesnt have a probe detect lead so pretty crappy for price. have to manually say its ready each time i want to use it and remember to disable. but besides that it does work well.

Works Great
Got this for my tormach mill. Used the Brown and orange wires (normally closed). Soldered to a 5 pin DIN connector. Pins 4 & 5. Note that the pins are not in order. Refer to the tormach tech wiring doc for your machine. Needs COM and Input pins.
