This works for me. I can use it for my laptop or a book and since it has no bumps I can use it when drawing, too.

I watch/use everything on my laptop including during the night. my computer would exhaust hot air when it was being used on my bed and it's too heavy to have on my lap for even a short period of time. This portable lap desk resolves all of those problems. Wish I had bought it sooner.

Just perfect for my needs. It was smaller than another one that I had purchased a few years before so at first I thought it might be too small but it fits on my lap just right. I use it for writing and for eating as well. If my plate is hot, I put a protective padded sheet that I picked up from the Dollar store, so as not damage the top. Maybe it could support a hot plate but I'm not taking any chances. I love that it has a handle.

Bought this for a road trip and used it the whole time. Now it's great for snacks in front of the TV or as a sketch pad. My 8 year old loves the colour scheme
