Q: Is the bottom water proof

Not sure but this didn’t last two weeks with our young cat as she tore through the netting.

Q: Is the bottom weighted? I plan to use this for "enrichment " time for a large scale and don't want it to tip over.

The bottom is not weighted. The unit is very lightweight and foldable. It worked well for very small kittens and nursing mother but as soon as the kittens were jumping, climbing, clawing, and hanging from the top zippered mesh, it started folding in on itself. The kittens wanted out and were able to claw through the material in every corner, kittens everywhere. I was sewing it with fishing string to try and keep them contained as long as I could. It soon became a losing battle.

Q: Is the bottom piece removable?

The bottom piece is not removable. The top piece unzips and you have access to the bottom to clean it. My cat Lilly like the playpen. She has week old kittens and this is what I have used for them. I like the playpen. I got the medium and it is plenty big for her and the kittens.

Q: What are the dimensions of the medium and large sized playpens when collapsed? Need to know if these can fit into my luggage. Thanks.

It's the size of one side. So depending on which size you get, just look at the height and width of the sides.
