I only recently found out that infrared contactless thermometers are not ideal, and ordered this Braun in-ear thermometer whilst we haven;t been very well. It is really good quality, and comes with 20 ear caps. I found the temperature measure to be very quick and the audible noise really easy to understand. I think the only thing I would change would be a visual indicator i.e green, orange and read. But overall it's a brilliant device that give clear and concise readings.

I wish I got these in-ear thermometers long time back. It makes it much easier to read temperature on a 2 year old kid. You don't have to hold them down, its all done in just a couple of seconds.Getting those hygienic caps can be a minor inconvenience and an ongoing expense, But still worth for the ease of use on children.

The Braun ThermoScan 3 is very easy to use and works well for its purpose. The measurement is quick—just about 1 second—which is great when dealing with restless little ones. It’s clearly designed to be family-friendly, especially suitable for babies and infants.The reading accuracy is very good, though not perfect—especially for newborns it performs well enough to give a reliable indication of fever. While it’s not 100% precise, it’s close enough to be trusted for everyday use.The brightness of the digital display isn’t the best, which can make it a bit harder to read in certain lighting conditions.Overall, the value for money is excellent, making this a solid choice if you want a fast, user-friendly, and generally accurate ear thermometer for home use.

Easy to measure temperature. Use is easy alwel. Build quality is good aswel. Feels light weight. Brightness ain't the great however.

Does the job well. Easy to use and gives an accurate temperature reading.

Great thermometer, braun really are the brand to use. Had an older model for years. This one is great as a lot of the other ones braun is selling now have an age setting on it, so each time have to put in age category, this one has none of that, just straight forward press the button get the temp reading.

I wish I’d never bought this thermometer. I thought buying a known brand would serve me well. It’s no less than dangerous. It’s awful for the following reasons :* Incredibly inaccurate, it always reads less than it should (I used other thermometers to confirm).* It repeatedly shows different temperatures, even if you don’t take the thermometer out of the ear. I’ve also tried taking it out and putting it back in and it still reads various temperatures. I also tried leaving it in the ear several seconds before I pressed the button to take a reading and it’s still inaccurate.* It’s constantly showing and bleeping with an error code. I have to keep pressing the button to get it to clear.* It’s incredibly difficult to work out which bleeps mean what, wether it’s the error code, switching on or off or if it’s it’s supposedly taken the temperature. If you’re hard of hearing, DO NOT buy this device. Buy a version that will illuminate red for a fever.* My child is 10 yrs old and I find it difficult to get it sufficiently into their ear, which they find uncomfortable and get agitated because I’m having to repeatedly take their temperature in the hope to get an ‘average’ because it’s so unreliable.* The screen is difficult to read compared to my cheap oral thermometer I’ve had for years. The green screen on this Braun is rather grey/green and the numbers blend in too much.* This version of thermometers screen stays green even with a fever. When you’re stressed with a poorly child, having the screen go red is incredibly helpful.* You have to change the ear piece cover every time you use the thermometer. I did know this before I purchased it, but if you’ve got a frequently poorly person like I have, that cost will add up, especially when you’re having to repeatedly test at the same time because the readings are always different with this thermometer.I expected for over £20 I was committing to quality and a reliable thermometer. I was very wrong this time. For now I will stick to under £10 oral thermometers that work as they should and that’s far easier and safer to use. Sorry.
