Works well, cable length measurement is off, but tracer, PoE, port flash and continuity work well.

Works great. The digital and analog wire detection is a bit to sensitive. If you have a bundle of wires they all will seem to signal.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I've got a pricey Fluke tester for basic network cable testing, and services like DHCP and DNS. But I needed something that could test POE without breaking the bank.This helped me narrow down two of three bad switches at a client when a POE based access point rollout was done. Worked great, and the price was absolutely low.

Excellent for continuity and construction checks

Ensures that your new RJ-45 connector/cable will work when you take it to the destination. The POE checks are useful especially the wiring identifier - std or not std POE pairs. Using a standard splitter on an non-std device can produce instant smoke.
