It's a compact point and shoot camera you can take anywhere and get good, often superb photos.Half the fun of using cameras like the TG-7 is in working with their minor flaws and functional restrictions. The camera itself exudes toughness and although I'm unlikely to use it underwater, knowing that I can take it to the beach, by the pool, and out in the rain is wonderful peace of mind, and it's snall, light and easy to carry in a breast pocket. At the moment I'm extremely impressed with my purchase.

My second one this one is for the wife, (we sea kayak) & this camera does the job. I put a screen saver on the screen & bought a lens cover to protect it whilst tucked in the buoyancy aid.

i am very pleased with the new OM Tough TG-7. Although i have only had it a short time i have taken a number of pictures but have not yet subjected it to any degree to what it i expect to be using it for on my travels next year. It certainly has several impressive features once one delves beneath the normal controls and is remarkably easy to use although i have yet to try it with heavy gloves on etc. I recommend downloading the extensive manual - i have found that well laid out and very useful.In short i am very pleased with the results i have had so far and fully recommend it as a good buy - especially at the 'black friday' price i paid!

I've had this in my grubby paws for less than 24 hours and I think I am falling in love. Setting up the wireless connection with my phone was frustrating because it seemed to take time settling down to work, but it's now behaving and working seamlessly. This is my first encounter with a modern digital compact camera, from a digital DSLR, so I'm on a learning curve, but I am delighted with my progress thus far and the image quality, and I'm not even playing yet. I bought the TG-7 to use in my kayak and am very sure it's going to be just what I wanted, but am awaiting delivery of a camera float, though I reckon teaching it to swim is out. I have a new toy and I am very happy with it. I've included a couple of landscape shots I took to see how the optical zoom works, it works very well. At 74 I've been looking to move on from my DSLR for something more playful, I am pretty certain I've found it and it fits in my pocket as a go everywhere camera. Well done OM System and thanks.

ok lets be honest its not a cheep camera but it is packed full of feetchures that you normaly find in larg dslr cameras so if your looking for a camera that can cover a host of diferent situations and still fit in a pocet this in my opinion is the one to buy you can even take it snorkling up to a depth of fifteen meters how good is that. great little camera

Got some good videos and shots under water which were very clear. Bit difficult to see screen underwater, especially with goggles but managed too and took pot luck at times
