So far so good
Just purchased this and have used it twice so far. First use was test use and wasnt very long. Second time was a recording that lasted about 2 and half hours. It worked great with my share sm57 which isn't loud enough at full gain from presonus studio 26c interface. With the phantom power on and this thing in line I went from 100 gain and still low volume without it to 75% gain on interface and very clean loud audio. I have not noticed any interference or noise from unit. After 2 and half hours it wasnt hot and worked great. Very clean loud audio from this little product. If this changes with weekly use I will update.

Works great
Works great. Used in between SSL 12 interface supplying 48v phantom power and a beyerdynamic m160. Perfect.

Great for dynamic
Great little booster should you need one. I was using this with a shure dynamic mic and to record on tirs absolutely crucialTo have a booster. I think the name brand they copied from is called cloud something. But they nailed it at a fraction of the clouds price. It gives it a 20 bump. I wish you could dial it on the hardware but oh well, that’s what we have dials for on logic. I guess. No, I think it should be on the hardware too. Also an on/off would be nice. But it works great and without noise for dynamics in the studio.

Works wonders!
I've used a condenser microphone for years and am used to being able to talk into it from several feet away, so when I switched to a dynamic microphone, it was a huge change, I don't like having to put my mouth inches away from the microphone, so I decided to give this a try and it definitely works. Now I can sit back and talk once again. So basically this turns your dynamic microphone into a condenser mic.

The CLOUD on a budget!
This does everything the cloud does but at a fraction of the cost! I'm so thankful that someone put me on to this. My recording sessions have been sooo much easier, faster and better. I can get a level with ease. It's not finicky. I cant believe it exists. if you have been eyeing the cloud, THIS is your ticket!!!

What a great product! Perfect price point!
I love the signal boost I get with my Scarlet 2i2. Absolutely no added noise. My SM7B sounds great now. I am equally impressed with the budget savings. I strongly recommend this for home, small studio vocalists.

It adds up to 24db volume, but also amplifies noise
I like the price, it is on the lower end for an inline mic booster. However, to some extent you get what you pay for.If you don't have a mic booster and need one, and you're not recording the worlds next great high fidelity album, this may be a perfect compromise and fit for you or your home studio. Like I said, the price is very fair for a middle of the road mic signal booster. This preamp works well along with phantom power to increase the output signal of a microphone. Unfortunately it also increases the output of any noise on the line, if not actually adding a bit itself. I can't say for sure if it is adding noise, but I can say for sure it doesn't filter any of it out. When it is connected and the interface volume raised above about 60 - 70% you can start to hear a bit of a hum. I don't think I have a grounding issue as none of my mics create a hum when not amplified by this box, but I don't have sophisticated enough equipment to say for sure. For me and my home studio situation it works fine and is raises the output enough before any hum starts that I can definitely live with it.There are other brands that cost significantly more and honestly do a better job, either not creating any hum or filtering it out before it gets to your interface. But you are paying for that. I like this device and do recommend it to the home studio people who aren't expecting to sould like Queen News of the World quality recording. Remember if you are hoping for that level of quality, the mic preamp will be about the cheapest piece of equipment you'll need. You have to go top quality from the instrument/microphone, all the way through to the headphones and studio monitors. The entire chain needs to be the highest quality (AKA most expensive $$) to achieve those results. For me, this Rodyweil Microphone Preamp In Line Mic Booster hits the sweet spot of price and performance.
