Typical Esp32. Works just fine.
You must use the cable thats included. Other cables may not be data only for power source. Its a "dev board", if you do not understand those words it's well advised this type of project is put of your grasp, however, with a few days of learning anyone can program a board.Typical esp32, but this board will not format itself by holding down the rst/boot, use your flasher of choice. Formats fine. Uploads fine. Works as the other esp boards. The biggest pro of the board is the fact that the battery has a 1.25mm port and I did not have to solder to any pads. Soldering to the pads isn't horrible but the pin connector is much easier. That being said it worked fine and touch screen works better with a capacitance pen than the one that's included. Moreover, the included stylus also works well enough.

Tiny Screen, Big Potential – Fun with ESP32
Great little screen for ESP32 projects. Touch is responsive, and it works well with LVGL for UI prototyping. Not the brightest in daylight, but awesome for budget builds and experimentation.

What else can you get that's cooler for this price?
It'll never cease to amaze me how cheap technology has gotten. It's literally like Legos for us nerds, and when you need one sensor or something may as well buy 10 because it's only 1-2 dollars more. Now I have drawers full of everything and can just whip up whatever on my mind and own every wireless signal sub 2.5ghz and make the gui look cool while I'm doing it.

Frustrated 81 year old
Neat device but not for beginners.Too many cryptic errors in examples that supposedly have been found to work for others. Modified User_Setup.h is essential. See CYD Random Nerd Tutorials. I used Arduino IDE 2.3.4. Visual Studio Code / Platform IO is loses me every time I try to use it.

neat.
Lots of fun and easy to use. I wish there were more io ports available. also 1.25mm jst connector is a weird size. I ordered the wrong ones a couple of times.
