Renaissance Egyptian Cotton Bath Towel, Parchment

I have never had problems with my Christy renaissance towels. Theywash and dry beautifully (I don't use softeners or softener sheets), comeout luxurious and fluffy. I never have a problem with loose threads. Since I purchase only whites and lightest beige I cannot comment on fading. If they're good enough for Queen Elizabeth they'll do just fine for me...

If you want a large, soft absorbant bath sheet, you would be happy. If you want less, you could go elsewhere.

As a long time user of Christy bath towels, when they were still made in England, these that are made in India are just as soft and absorbent as the originals.Of course, the service from Amazon, as usual, was excellent.

Although these "Cranberry" towels perfectly match the 50's style American Standard "Loganberry" tiles and fixtures, they have failed in three different ways. 1) After three washes including one drying with a Bounce cloth in the dryer they continue to retain a high level of lint. It comes off all over me after a shower plus everything else in the wash. 2) Although soft to touch, they don't even dry my short hair. This very same problem was observed by my sister who purchased a neutral color and praised Egyptian cotton for its absorbancy. She is returning hers for lack of absorbancy. 3) Both I and my sister noticed that at the third wash the towels were starting to pile and form loose threads. I found myself spending 10 minutes per towel trying to valet them.

The color described is actually darker in the photo than the actual product. I was disappointed, especially for the price.

These towels are really lovely and soft, even after washing quite a few times. My only criticisms - (1) they could be a bit bigger (I bought the biggest one) and (2) they drop fluff until you've washed them at least 7 times. I would buy them again though.

To call this product highly absorbent is a real stretch. It's one of those non-absorbent towel that smoothly skims the surface of your wet body but doesn't take much water with it.

These are the biggest, softest and most luxurious washcloths I have ever owned. What a terrific value for such a fine quality product!
