GANA 1080P SCART to HDMI Converter for Connecting Set-Top Box, DVD player or other Devices with Scart Port to Play on New TV with HDMI Port

Nothing to dislike about this product, I found it easy to set up even though I didn't read instructions or use pictures but it was so straight forward.I needed this as I bought a new smart TV and this has no scart socket, but my DVD player has only scart sockets due to its age. Works perfectly, picture and sound quality are not impacted by adapter, in fact one could say it's improved because I have a better TV. Speedy delivery is a bonus as one day I am setting up TV, the next day I have delivery of adapter which took less than five minutes to plug in and set up with TV. New TV easily able to use older products thanks to a quality adapter. Would definitely recommend just cannot comment on durability as is only four days old!

Easy to set up. Works and the screen is watchable but picture quality is not great.

Excellent converter, well manufactured. Easily fitted and works perfectly giving a very good quality picture on my smart tv.I have an old Philips surround sound system with five speakers and subwoofer which are secretly and neatly wired underfloor and behind skirting boards etc. It also has a DVD player but unfortunately has only a scart plug (no hdmi connector). This connector connected my surround system and DVD to my tv. It requires a scart cable (scart to scart) and a short hdmi cable (hdmi to hdmi). Both not supplied. It is powered by a cable from the connector to a USB port on the tv. (supplied with the connector).Sorry if that sounds (pardon the pun) complicated but it's not, it is really very easy to fit. I'm well pleased and recommend highly.

Well needed and great purchase

Brilliant gadget Saw videos not seen for years but now lost picture I’ve got the sound but I think vcr head needs cleaning not been used in 10 years!!! So I’ve ordered one but your equipment was first ckass

Check to make sure your Scart source is providing a Composite video signal before buying!It will not work if your Scart source is only providing RGB signals without a Composite signal, such as from some retro 8bit computers like the Spectrum +2A/B or +3. It's a shame it doesn't convert RGB signals if they are present as the picture quality from RGB is much better than composite and would give a much clearer output.The box works OK with a Wii when using a composite to scart adapter but the picture quality is poor - worse than using composite directly. I wasn't expecting a flawless transfer to digital for the price but the blurryness and artifacts introduced have me thinking it's not even worth the £13 I paid. I would suggets you spend a little more and avoid this "bargain"

A new TV meant existing Scart connections were obsolete. Through Google and YouTube I found such a problem could easily be overcome. This piece of kit ideally met my needs. It was not expensive, quickly delivered and, frankly, very easily connected via USB on the TV. Both picture and sound quality were good although at this price 4K standard was not expected. The manual needed a magnifying glass to read! It referred to a DC/5v adapter which was not supplied and not expected... Altogether, value for money.
