Did not work at my house
Worked fine out of the box with cameras indoors. Installed first camera about 2' lower than the NVR (installed upstairs) and about 50' away. NVR (network video recorder) did not pick up signal. Called customer service at 2:00pm, left a message and they returned my call at 8:00pm. Had me make a change in Network Setup. One item was set to MKK and I changed it to FCC. Probably something everyone in the US should do. Took about a half hour on the phone to do this.The camera appeared on the monitor in about a minute. Felt good, but it lost its signal in about another minute. This morning, no signal, and I reset the camera by cutting power and rebooting camera. Signal restored, but lost in 1 minute. Did this 5 times, same result, but once the signal remained for 5 minutes. Got hopeful, drilled another hole in my house, stopped, and returned system. Intermittent cameras are no good for a security system and the solution was to cut power and reboot - no good. This was the closest camera I would have installed. They suggested installing the camera closer to the NVR, but you really want the cameras where you want them around the house.I posted a picture of and under eave mount. There is not enough clearance to position the antenna straight up and down like they recommend. Maybe that would have helped??The NVR has to be wired to your router, it is NOT wireless. They supply a 3' network cable. Cannot imagine that working for very many people. It does not include an HDMI cable. I would recommend plugging up the NVR and trying one camera outside before unboxing the whole thing.I downloaded the app for my phone and it displayed the cameras - pretty easy. The camera resolution on my monitor was great. I wish these cameras would have worked. The leads on the 12V DC plug in was about 12' long, so they may be long enough to plug in in your attic, otherwise you would need to run and extension cord.I have two routers and a robust wifi signal anywhere around the house. If they had connected to wifi, they would have worked. But they transmit directly to the nvr and that did not work for my house.

teck support sucks. do not expect any help from them
after about 6 months 2 of the camars quit. i contacted teck support and spen 15 days trying to get them to send me new ones. finally they said the would and gave me a product discount number and told me to order 2 with it. it did not work. they said i needed to send them a screen shot of it not working. that was the last i heard from them. they will not follow through. they wont call back. i would never buy these camaras again. dont waste your time or money.

Phone app does not work. Has too many issues.
The cameras were great and were easy to install. However, the app for these cameras is a complete joke. Consider your self lucky if you can actually get it to work.

I had a similar system and no way to talk to tech support. Got this one and had a number to talk to a human. Called and had awesome help, was up and running in no time!!!

Happy with the system
So far so good. Quality is very good. The night vision can use some help as because i cant see a license plate number from a car even when its close by because of the night vision.. overall very good
