Just long enough to hold and decent price. Too bad couldn't get a box of them; would be worth the higher cost relative to quantity.

Nice value and pretty much the same construction that has been used for hundreds of years. The consistency could be better hence taking away one star. In each box I have discarded approximately 2% to 5% because of irregular shapes -- too short, missing heads, heads off-center, etc. They grip well and I expect they will resist oxidation (rust) for centuries. For authentic reupholstery and restoration of furniture made prior to the era of staples, these are good and I will use them again.

They work! My only complaint is I can't find 1/4" tacks anywhere, which is what I needed!

If you know anything about upholstery, you'll know that tacks come in different sizes. To tack webbing, or thick fabric you'll need long tacks. Therse were not that. They would be good for thin fabrics, but not adequate for a full rebuilt of a frame with webbing and springs.
