Everything as expected.
I've had this kegerator since May of this year and it has made living with the pandemic a heck of lot better. We go through a German 50l keg every couple of weeks and I no longer miss going out to bars any more especially knowing I have better beer at home. Assembly was quite easy as I had already watched several of the YouTube videos before receiving it and knew what to do once I got it. I had originally planned to do a full size refrigerator conversion but after looking further into that I noticed that there really wasn't adequate space to put a full size keg in our refrigerator because after taking out the crispers there was not enough room on the bottom to fit. So this is what I settled on. I did replace the regulator with a 2 gauge version and eventually got a 20 lb c02 tank and both are well worth the addition. The unit I received came with a 90 degree tailpiece on the coupler connection side so I have no problem connecting to a German *A* system coupler as it just barely fits in the kegerator. It definitely gets cold enough for beer and one thing I did learn that it's good to defrost if ice builds up on the chilling plate because the performance is much better and it gets much colder when the ice is gone. Make sure to defrost according to the instructions. Another thing is from day one I installed a Perlick flow control faucet and it's made pouring very easy and I'm able to get my desired German type head just like in the Munich beer halls. Cleaning it is easy especially after purchasing a cleaning can and after each keg it takes me about 20 minutes to thoroughly wash out the beer line, well worth the time to make the beer taste as good as can be. Now I know why the beer usually tastes lousy in the dives as many of them don't clean lines at all or not often enough. I'm glad I bought this when I did because kegerators have steadily kept going up in price. To me money well spent.

Good Value
Delivery was prompt - 2days. Unit is double boxed - no damage. When unit is plugged in it comes up to temperature quickly - less than 2 hours. Directions are excellent and complete assembly was 30 minutes. Faucet and keg coupler are not the highest quality and the keg coupler turned out to be a problem. The unit comes with a one dial regulator - a dual dial is preferred and essential. This is not my first kegerator. My first was a fridge conversion, which I had in my garage. Unfortunately the high summer temperature in Tucson, AZ (over 100* daily) caused the fridge to work itself to almost death so I needed to get the kegerator into the house - the fridge is going to Goodwill. The fridge conversion was upgraded with a SS CO2 tank, Perlick faucet ,dual dial regulator, Micro Matic keg coupler, all of which I used in place of the new stuff. Because I didn't want to clean my Micro Matic keg coupler ( the fridge temp was approaching 60* degrees and I didn't want the torpedo keg to spoil after only 5 glasses of beer had been poured) so I didn't fool around and used the new coupler. The beer would not pour because their coupler would not completely lock into the keg so I cleaned the Micro Matic and replace their provided coupler - should have done that in the first place. With the fridge conversion, I had the CO2 tank in the fridge with no problems. Not a good idea with this unit. The CO2 tank fit easily with the torpedo keg but the pressure gauge registered near the red (indicating refill). The cold compresses the gas and gives false readings - I thought the unit wouldn't pour because the tank needed to be refilled until I weight it and found I had 2lbs gas left. The problem was the coupler but I installed the CO2 tank outside the Edgestar.Invest in a dual dial regulator.Temperature is the most important element with your kegerator. Invest in a thermometer such as the Walmart AcuRite wireless digital, which provides the exact inside temperature and allows you to dial in your Edgestar.Tip: How did I know there was gas left in my tank? When the tank was filled I weighed it and wrote the weight on the tank. The empty tank weight is stamped on the tank - TW (Tare Weight). Mines 8.5lb. The tank weighed 10.5lb so even though the gauge indicated refill I knew I had 2lb of gas left. When the tank warmed up the gauge showed gas in the tank.So far I'm happy with the purchase of the Edgestar Kc2000 and recommend it.

Honestly, a good kegerator...
To be honest, the only reason I didnt give it a 5 star was because I was expecting some sort of magical box that took up less floor space, but yet I wanted a walk-in cooler at the same time LOL. Other than that its a great kegerator for beginners like me!
