Good Price point
Ordered these for my husband around hunting season as he had been wanting some. Pricing here is good compared to other places I shopped around at like Walmart or Atwood’s. They’re very good quality and very heavy duty. He enjoys using them when he is practice shooting, however due to the weight they’re a struggle to carry around very much. They’re very sturdy and stable. He actually left them outside on accident a few nights in a row, but the weather and a little bit of rain didn’t cause them any damage, although I don’t recommend that!

High quality
Very good quality and fair price. Worked for my pistols as well.

Well made. Very durable.
These are absolutely essential for any marksman. Good for hunting or target practice. They're well made, so no worries about them getting torn easily.

Good, but slippery and non comforming
Got the filled set. The rear bag is pretty slick on the bottom. Both bags are very filled, but the fill isn’t very conforming. It works fine other than these few issues.

Quality made and priced just right
These bags are great! If you’re looking for a solid shooting rest without breaking the bank these Caldwell bags are the way to go. They are filled very well, the material is very sturdy, with a nice soft material on the bag where your barrel rests. They work very well for multiple firearms, and they are a great size to be able to pack and take around with you if necessary.

The quality on these is excellent and I expect them to last for years and ...
The Theory of Unexpected Consequencesafter reading many reviews of this rest I decided to order the unfilled bags and fill them myself when they arrived . Many different types of material ,were listed in reviews, to fill these bags with . I decided upon kitty litter and purchased 2- 10 lb. bags at Walmart of the cheapest clay based litter they carried . It was $1.30 a bag. Very inexpensive . Used an extra funnel we had on hand to fill them . Took about 30 min to completely fill them. I would pour in the kitty litter until it reached the top, then gently tap the bag on the concrete until it settled in the bag. repeated this until it wouldn't settle any more and the bag was full. in the end there was about 2-3 inches of kitty litter remaining in the second bag, which I gave to a neighbor that has a cat. Took the bags to the range and they work perfectly. They don't move around, they stay put on the bench, and they provide a very solid rest for my rifle. The quality on these is excellent and I expect them to last for years and years. The problem is now I have an extra 20 lbs. to carry out to the firing line every tine I go shooting. I thought about getting a cart as I have seen these before at the range. But I'm not really a cart type of guy , so I got a large range bag to carry it all. Caldwell makes an excellent product of good quality material and I highly recommend them. Just be careful of the material you decide upon to fill them with because of the extra weight you will have to carry around.

A great value and quality built.
These are very nice! Great value, well made and the best I have seen on the market.I purchased them filled, I do not think I would want to buy the unfilled set. If you are looking for affordable but nice shooting rest, this set is the answer.

good bag
The Caldwell set of shooting rest bags is a pretty good set, and priced well. I have used the bags for rifle and handgun. The bags provide a good stable platform/rest from which to zero in your sights, or test some new ammunition loads, etc.The bags are filled with polishing media (I suspect it is corn cob media from the bit I've seen) - not sand. The bags are plenty heavy, but not horribly heavy (they would be if they were sand filled). The front bag is good sized, almost a cubic foot (give or take). The rear rest could be a tad larger, but works okay. Depending on your stock or other configuration, you might need to elevate it with something else.Stability is very good. The bag stays put and gives you a firm rest. The texture of the suede-like top provides a nice grip on the forestock of a rifle or the lower frame of a handgun. The two bags can be attached together via a plastic snap-hook and D-ring, which makes carrying them easier. This set is light enough and small enough to toss in the car when you visit the range, and it will do the job well. Can be easily refilled (or emptied) so you can adjust it to your preference. And if you remove some of the filling - use it in your tumbler!Nice product, very accurate shots on my AR15 at 50 yards. The rear bag is sorta small and works alright but really enjoy the big front bag. The product is filled with sand since everybody keeps asking.Pros:1. It is so handy to carry around relatively lightweight gun supports rather than sandbags (literally) that weigh a ton (not literally).2. These two "bags" fit nicely in my carryall case that also holds cleaning materials, bullets, shooting glasses, hearing protection, etc.3. I use both units to shoot my rifle. I also use the larger unit to bench fire pistols.Con:1. Obviously, they don't conform perfectly with every rifle stock/forearm dimension you run into ... so be prepared to plump them up or add a towel or other supplement to fit your particular firearm.
