Lovely, high quality cake. Brought my parents these for Christmas as a treat. Great fruit content nice taste. Texture good, moist cake and very yummy

The chocolate cake was smaller than expected but I would say great value for money. The texture and taste blew me away. You can definitely get bigger cakes for this price or more but for a real small crowd, this would be my go too.They have many different cakes to try so I'm glad I came across this company, I'm very happy to support.The tin it comes in is also very cute.

I liked this cake, it's very fruit-dense, with very little cake mixture if you see what I mean. That suits me fine, but if it is to be a gift, be careful because not everyone likes this combination of extreme fruit overload.I can see why the cake is designed like this, because it will be preserved for a long time and that helps with making a product more warehousable and orderable over the Internet. I don't think it's a bad thing.Back to the taste, in summary, it's definitely tasty, but as mentioned not everyone is a fan. I've ordered it several times, but a friend does not like it.I think it is slightly overpriced (by perhaps 20-30%) but I've not found an alternative yet. Good opportunity for someone to provide some competition!The cake tin itself is very thin metal, and decorative (it has print on it, it cannot be used to bake another cake!). The cake is supplied in plastic wrap, fully covered, and then placed inside the tin. That's just a bit of info for the OCD people like me.

This looked like a perfect gift for a few friends but thought I would get one to try before buying any more.I am glad I did. Although it looks great it is frankly one of the worst loaf cakes I have ever had.So dry and just not got any wow factor whatsoever, none of us could even finish a slice.Disappointed so cannot recommend at all.

The perfect chocolate cake, moist not too rich at all and not too sweet either it's got choc chips for texture going through the cake as well it's just yummy. I know it's a lot for a small cake but boy it's worth it. I've paid a lot less for bigger cakes and they've been awful so worth the cost

Delivery, packaging and photo were excellent. The overall rating is only Fair because the cake, although consumed well within the use by date, was quite dry. The surface layer of nuts and glace cherries was quite good, rich and of acceptable thickness but the inside was also quite boring and somewhat lacking in texture. (I personally like my cake with added spirit flavouring but unfortunately all such cakes were sold out on Amazon because of demand at Christmas so I am not complaining on this front as I knew this cake was without alcohol). I cannot help thinking that the packaging was rather over done and therefore added significantly to the overall cost, perhaps sacrificing the quality of packaging slightly and diverting this saving to quality or a lower price would have made the purchase a better bargain for me. Thank you.

Purchased this as a gift for my mom and she absolutely loved it. She said it was moist and absolutely packed with fruit. The tin is a cute little touch

A terrible cake. I have had the almond and cherry one which I really like. But I bought this as a afternoon tea treat. It was so dry and just crumbled when I cut it.
